Lifelong Equestrian ~ Lifelong Instructor

The more clients I work with in my business, the more I value my Pony Club roots. The lessons focused on problem solving, riding mischievous ponies, and good old fashioned hard work. I was a kid learning from the older kids and teaching those who came along behind. It had a huge impact on how much I value clients who want to learn and do for themselves while getting instruction wherever they can along the way.

I grew up in Santa Fe, NM and began my riding career at Nix Stables when I was 8. At age 10 I joined the Santa Fe Pony Club and discovered what was to become a lifelong obsession: the sport of eventing. Eventually, I graduated B from Santa Fe Pony Club, Southwest Region, but never left the organization behind. I went on to successfully compete in eventing throughout the US including USEA Areas I, VIII, IX and X. I'm still active in Pony Club and in 2020 Santa Fe Pony Club received a 25 Year Award from US Pony Club.

In 2008, I graduated Magna cum Laude from Johnson and Wales University with a degree in Equine Business Management and Riding. During my time at Johnson and Wales, I had the opportunity to study abroad at the National German Riding School located at the Westphalian State Stud in Warendorf, Germany. It was, and is, one of the most amazing opportunities of my career.

Since college, I have focused on sharing my knowledge and passion for horses with others. After spending a few years running a large lesson and boarding facility in Ohio, I returned to New Mexico. I am currently on the D and C Curriculum Committee and Instruction Committee for US Pony Club and I am the head riding instructor for Santa Fe Pony Club. In addition, I travel to several different communities in the Santa Fe region giving lessons to riders 7 & Up who love their horses and want to improve their riding. Whatever that might look like.
